0.001 USDC is Fixr's fee, not your total. Creating a mint costs 0.012685 SOL of account rent on Solana no matter who creates it. You pay that directly — Fixr builds the transaction and pre-signs it with the mint key, you sign as fee payer and submit. Fixr never holds your SOL and never has a wallet that could be drained by launching. Anyone quoting a launch as free is quoting their margin, not your bill.
Why x402
x402 is payment over HTTP 402. Fixr's endpoint answers an unpaid request with a price and a payment address; your client pays and retries; the work happens. There is no signup, no card, no invoice and no balance to top up.
That is the only reason a fee this small is possible. A tenth of a cent cannot carry a payment processor — the processor's own minimum is hundreds of times larger. It can carry a USDC transfer.
